Shipping Routes and Schedules
I. Container Liner Routes
Till the end of 2008, Taicang Port has opened 69 container liner services including 5 oceangoing lines, 19 domestic lines and 45 feeder services to Yangshan and along the Yangtze River. More than 900 vessel/time container liners call at the port every month.
1. Oceangoing Shipping Routes: Taicang operates four short-range services to Japan, Korea and Taiwan and one Africa service.
2. Yangshan Container Express Delivery Channel: Totally 19 global carriers like China Shipping, COSCO, Maersk, CMA-CGM, Evergreen, etc. deal in container express services at Taicang Port, where goods can be carried to all nations and regions via Yangshan Port (12 voyages each week).
3. Domestic Trunk Line Service Network: Taicang Port opens 19 domestic trade routes to 15 major coastal ports in China, namely Guangzhou, Huangpu, Nansha, Quanzhou, Fuzhou, Luoyuan, Shantou, Ningbo, Zhoushan, Rizhao, Yantai, Longkou, Yingkou, Tianjin and Dalian.
4. Yangtze River feeder service: Taicang Port offers 31 feeder services along the Yangtze River by calling at 17 major ports, namely Chongqing, Wanzhou, Jingzhou, Yichang, Wuhan, Jiujiang, Wuhu, Ma’anshan, Nanjing, Zhenjiang, Yangzhou, Changzhou, Taizhou, Jiangyin, Zhangjiagang, Changshu and Nantong.
Ⅱ. Passenger Transport
Passenger Transport: The Taicang/Shimonoseki passenger ship departs from Taicang Port each Tuesday and arrives at Shimonoseki Port International Terminal after 29 hours.
